Toy Wrestler Figures Recalled by A.A. of America Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard


WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. (To access color photos of the following recalled products, see CPSC's Web site at www.cpsc.gov.)

Name of Product: Toy Wrestler Figures

Units: About 5,400

Manufacturer: A.A. of America Inc., of East Brunswick, N.J.

Hazard: The surface paint contains high levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The recalled toy is a package of four action figures. Each figure is about 5 ¾ inches high. The UPC number 604111230003 is printed on the product's packaging.

Sold at: Dollar stores and discount stores nationwide from January 2007 through December 2007 for about $1.

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers should take the toy away from children immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
